CHILEAN MARATHON SWIMMING HALL OF FAME (CMSHOF)

SALÓN DE LA FAMA DE NADADORES DE MARATÓN DE CHILE (CMSHOF) 

COWS will also honor Outstanding Contributors to Open Water Swimming following a similar approach to the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF).

It immortalizes the professional achievements of those Chileans who have distinguished themselves as marathon swimmers or contributors to sport in Chile and/or internationally.

The categories are as follows:

1. Honour Swimmer : Honorary Swimmers must be those notable participants who through their professional achievements have made a significant contribution to the sport of marathon swimming in Chile or at an international level. Their contribution must be made over a period of years and be truly outstanding.

2. Honour Contributor: Administrator, Organisation, Coach or Pilot. These are dedicated people or organisations who help in various roles to support and develop the sport of marathon swimming in Chile or internationally. Their contribution must be made over a period of years and be truly outstanding.

3.  COWS  only allows people to be included in one category. As a result, many honored swimmers (for example) who then contribute for decades as administrators and/or coaches are not honored again.
